Your preschooler will love this counting Pop the Pig game. It teaches colors, counting, turn-taking, ordinal concepts and more!
One of my all-time favorite kid games is Pop the Pig. I use this game every week while working with my preschool-age students in speech therapy and they all LOVE playing it! This game encourages language expansion and targets the following skills: color and number identification, counting, turn-taking, and ordinal concepts (first, second, next, last, etc.). You play by rolling a colored die. The color rolled indicates which color hamburger to feed the pig. Each hamburger has a number on the bottom which correlates with the number of times you push the pig’s head. Each push expands the pig’s belly. After several pushes, the pig’s shirt pops open. If you pop the pig, you lose! Will you be the one to pop the pig?
